2008 MANUSCRIPT CONTEST ENTRY FEE: $30
Please note: You must purchase a conference ticket prior to entering the manuscript contest. Multiple entries are accepted but a separate entry fee must be paid per submission. Entry deadline is January 15, 2009, 5 p.m. For complete rules and guidelines, go to our Writing Contests page.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
PRICE: Cost and options vary per workshop. Please see the individual workshop for which you are registering for details. Please note that in most cases, students who have signed up the workshop only, will also have the opportunity to join in on the outside activities for an additional fee per activity.
NOT INCLUDED UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFICED: Airfare, airport taxes, alcoholic beverages, items of a personal nature, meals, excess baggage charges, life, health and accident insurance, luggage and cancellation insurance.
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT: A deposit fee is required at the time of registration (please see the individual workshop page on this website to determine the amount needed). The balance is due 60 days prior to the start of the seminar. No exceptions will be made.
REFUND POLICY: Deposits may be refunded in the following manner:
Notification received 90 or more days prior to seminar start date: Full refund less $50 service charge.
Notification received 60 days or more prior to seminar start date. Full refund less $100 service charge.
Notification received less than 60 days before seminar begins. No refund.
If registration proves insufficient 60 days prior to the seminars, San Miguel Writers' Conference & Workshops has the right to cancel or postpone the sessions and will refund your deposit in full. If a component of the package should not be available, San Miguel Writers' Conference & Workshops has the right to substitute a component of equal or greater value. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU DO NOT PURCHASE AIRFARE UNTIL YOU RECEIVE CONFIRMATION THAT YOUR SESSION IS PLANNED AS SCHEDULED. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED AT LEAST 60 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR WORKSHOP.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED for travel in Mexico are a passport.
MANAGEMENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES: San Miguel Writers' Conference & Workshops is not a travel agency and in all matters relating to the making of arrangements for accommodations, sightseeing tours and services provided incident thereto, entertainment, and transportation, can assume no responsibility for and cannot be held liable for any personal injury, property damage, or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of (l) any wrongful or negligent acts or omissions on the part of any of the suppliers, (2) any wrongful, negligent or unauthorized acts or omissions on the part of any employee of any of these suppliers, (3) any defect in or failure of any vehicle, equipment or instrumentality owned, operated or otherwise used by any of these suppliers or (4) any wrongful or negligent acts or omissions of any other party not under the control, direct or otherwise, of San Miguel Workshops. In the absence of negligence, San Miguel Writers' Conference & Workshops accepts no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in air or other services, medical issues of any kind, weather, strikes, or other causes or circumstances beyond its control.
